This collection includes: Original documents from Hawthorne Studies. And photos from the Western Electric Works. Hawthorne in 1979 Chicago. Included are 8x10 and 35 mm slides representing what was found. Letters from Barth to Keppele Hall, Thompson and others. Harlow Person, Thompson, and other letters and photos of Taylor and others. People in trains, and the Manufacturing Investment Co. Thompsons original 1900 and 1902 letter press books, and his original 1896 notebooks.

Wrege is an adjunct professor at Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. A fire on July 19, 1924 destroyed 58 GRRC passenger street-railroad cars. The company vice-president and general magager, Louis J. De Lamarter, continued operations by borrowing cars from Muskegon and Saginaw (Mich.). Twelve of the cars from Saginaw were former Bay City Traction & Electric Co. cars that had been in storage. (This information is from the collection.). From the descripti...
